Winter Witch's Ball

Saturday, February 7th

With over a hundred people attending, the second annual Winter Witches Ball was a blast! The Elk's Club was transformed into a glittering ballroom filled with people dressed up in elegant attire.

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful dinner, dancing and most of all sharing an evening with their fellow Pagans.

The council is grateful to everyone for showing off his or her most elegant formal wear and truly making this a night to remember.

Meet the Local CoG Council

Pot Luck

Sunday, March 7th

We had a nice crowd of people turn up for the Pot luck. The council enjoyed talking to each of you and hopes you learned a little about our Local Council. We also hope you will consider becoming active in the local council and hope to see you again soon.

Spring Faire

Saturday March 27

Our annual Charity Fundraiser was a great success thanks to everyone that came out and participated. Part of the proceeds raised will go to Best Friends and Women's Cottage. Best Friends is a no kill animal shelter and Women's Cottage is a home for battered women.

Special thanks goes to all the vendors who donated so generously to the raffle, the talented psychics who donated their time and to our drum circle leader extraordinaire Russell "Buddy" Helm.

Mountain Magick

Friday August 20th - Sunday August 22nd

This year's campout may not have had as many people as usual due to the fire restrictions. Never the less, those that did join us for the weekend had wonderful weather and an ever better time. People took the chance to connect to each other and joined in the workshops.

One group brought a giant drum, 'thunder' used for Powwows. This drum became the informal gathering place for a sing along on the first night. We hope that 'thunder' and his owners return again next year.

The three workshops this year where a meditation workshop, a crystal pendulum workshop and our annual wine making workshop. At the meditation workshop people where taught a protection meditation, a meditation to draw energy and a Chakra balancing meditation. At the crystal pendulum workshop everyone gathered to make their own crystal pendulum and learn how to use it. It was fun to see everyone get so creative. Finally, at the wine making workshop we got to taste some mead made by participants of last years workshop (Yum) and watched Tom show us how to make banana wine.

This year's ritual focused on giving energy and strength to the forest during these dry times and quenching our own inner thirst. The ritual was beautiful and we thank everyone for the wonderful energy that they brought. We want to thank each of you that came to the campout and hope to see you again soon.
